Steemgar Games Now Plays Every 30 Minutes
Starting now, @igster will be running 2 games every hour, allowing more play, more winners and more rewards! I will keep the steemauto functioning to support the top 3 winners of every games.
I May Have Missed a Few Votes
I had something setup within my steemauto to stop voting once I reached a threshold of 70% in voting power. Which mean that I may have missed a vote here and there. I'm very sorry for this event. Feel free to leave the games that I may have missed in the comment below and I'll try to get a moment to upvote the missing winners.
Open Sourcing Very Probable In The Near Future
@igster told me his intention to bring Steemgar into an open source status. I would like to let any developer interested know that I will be upvoting generously the pull request made via Utopian to his repo once it is open source.
Conclusion
You no longer have to wait 50 minutes between games. If everything goes well, who knows...maybe people will be able to play back to back, every 10 minutes soon!
It would be great if it was possible to play back to back... I have missed a lot of games because when I check it the game already started
I hope this is the beginning of a new trend with games leveraging the steem blockchain to reward players.

can u upvote these games before the new ones as there is less time. in one of the above a games i finished 1st and didnt get the reward whereas 2nd and 3rd got their reward, that is unusual

Nice. I tried multiple times to play, but would always get in too late or too early, and didn't want to wait 40 minutes to play. So I've only played on agar.io but have been wanting to play on here. So hopefully now I'll be able to get some playtime in!

Wow, this is a good news. Now that steemgar games now plays every 30 minutes, I hope I will be able to win soon. I've played the game a couple of times but I've not been lucky to win any.
Also I will not have to wait for an hour anymore as I've missed some game being carried away in the course of waiting.

In general video games can really bring blockchain technology forward if they find adoption.
Steemgar is a lovely project with a competitive aspect which brings a lot of fun and yes sometimes frustration :), but one is for sure you want to try it again and again.

the game starts 6m 30s after announcement...and the game runs for 7 mins...so having more than 2 games in a hour is kinda overkill

It would be very, very cool to have extremely frequent, if not nearly-continuous games running, or even so many that they run in parallel! Thanks a bunch of bundles for doing this for us players!
Although, my own struggles of attempting to play on my flimsy hardware got me to thinking, is this yet another case of those with an existing capital base or technological edge getting ahead incrementally?
Not to take away from the skill and strategy and reaction times required to secure a win, but I feel like there's a pretty evident pattern of those with access to better internet connections and hardware being able to secure decently frequent victories.
I think it would be cool if us players could eventually set up a fund to help level the playing field by getting gaming (and productivity) ready equipment in the hands of steemarites who might not be able to afford to save up for such tech on their own so easily as those of us from wealthier nations. Anyone down for such a venture?
