I see a growing trend in the Steem community. As I read more posts and engage more users, I am noticing that Steem content creators are utilizing the space below their posts to advocate, promote, and sell.

Steem Banner - What are you?

If you have never heard of a Steem banner, let me give you my take on the subject.

• In the digital world, a banner is a heading that appears on a webpage (usually in the shape of a horizontal rectangle, vertical rectangle, or square).
• Headings are used to draw a content consumer's attention to important topics.
• So a Steem Banner is a heading that appears on a Steem blog/post that directs attention (like an advertisement).
• Due to the formatting of Steem posts, this heading is usually in the shape of a horizontal bar.
• From what I have observed so far, most Steem banners appear at the end of a post after the primary content.

Steem Banner - Why are you important?

A banner is usually the last thing that a content consumer will see on our Steem post. If someone has read to the end of your post, you have one more chance to guide the reader.

• You can direct the reader to some of your other great content.
• You can direct the reader to a project that you support.
• You can invite the reader to join a community that you are apart of.

A Steem banner tells the reader who you are and what is important to you.
