We often create backups so we can recover it later when needed. But our backup should be stored to somewhere on cloud so when our hardware gets some damage we can recover its data on our new machine. Duplicati store your backups online in an encrypted form so it remains secure and safe.
Duplicati is free software and open source. You can use Duplicati for free even for commercial purposes. Source code is licensed under LGPL. Duplicati runs under Windows, Linux, MacOS. It requires .NET 4.5 or Mono.

I will say duplicati is a way of providing further more securities to your file. Since it ensures back ups are easily accessible and stored in a safe place
