It's an opensource and secure note-taking web app. You don't need to install any software or mobile app to take notes. Just open their browser and start taking notes. However, it is also available in downloadable version for Mac, Windows and Linux. They are planning to release an Android version very soon.
Laverna is a JavaScript note taking application with Markdown editor and encryption support. Consider it like open source alternative to Evernote.

Note-taking apps really help someone to write important notes during their activities on the internet, so far we are used to Evernote and other note-taking applications, but when there are other alternatives that are open source and have features such as encrypted note taking, then it will be a choice.
