BRS stands for Ballistic Recovery System
This is a Parachute system for light aircrafts. According to the official website this solution has already saved 393 lives.
These Parachute systems can be installed only on some particular models of the aircrafts.
The system of this hunt is for Cessna 172s / Cessna 182s light airplanes.

One day Boris Popov was experiencing a hang glider accident.
While falling from 120 metres height he was thinking about the reason why his glider doesn't have a Parachute system and he promised that he will make it for planes if he survive of course. And he survived.

I know that people are more likely to die in an airplane accident. What a pilot can do when an airplane breaks down in flight is escape from an airplane using a parachute. This product has a parachute attached to it, so if we're lucky, it won't ruin not only people but also airplanes.

What a great idea. And one that you have to wonder, how nobody thought of years ago. Passengers, and skydivers have been using Parachutes forever, so why not planes too?
Obviously, it's easier (relatively speaking) to do for smaller, or light planes, but why not for larger planes too? With advances in nano-tech and fabrics, I'm sure any size plane could be fitted eventually.
