It is an efficient recycler for 9 iPhone models to get and sort valuable materials which then can be used again.
Productivity = 200 iPhone devices per hour.

Potential (for every 100,000 devices)

Aluminum 1900 kg
Gold 0.97 kg
Silver 7.5 kg
Rare Earths 11 kg
Copper 710 kg
...

As far as I understand the ultimate goal is to come to the situation where all new devices are produced from details of old devices so that all that dangerous for our environment stuff don't get into the soil on the one hand and no materials are taken from the Earth to produce the new devices on the other.

Our ambition is that one day we’ll extract nothing from the earth

Lovely product. There are lots of important material that is going into our tech gadgets. Recycling them is very important if we want to keep having cool stuff towards the end of the century. 200 iPhone devices per hour sounds very good. Good to see Apple doing the right thing.

Congratulations!
