As the first to be considered the world's largest industrial Internet platform, Predix is one of the few parts of GE's large corporate group that promises to continue to grow.
Other parts of GE have been struggling, and - seemingly unbelievable - some speculate that the company will be the target of the acquisition.
“More than 70% of industrial companies are in the pilot stage of purgatory – that is, they are either still in their infancy or unable to advance their IIoT plans,” said Eddie Amos, vice president of GE Data Platforms and Industrial Applications.
