In 2015 a team of students enter shell marathon eco competition and this vehicle was born. It's 3D printed body is only half of the amazing features.
It is composed of a 3D printed body that was designed, composed and assembled by students they then use honey comb structures and Kevlar reinforced carbon fiber.
The body is composed of 150 different printed parts that are all mounted on a carbon fiber frame not only this cars is 3d printed but it is also solar powered.
The integrated solar panels supply power to entire car, it only weighs 120 pounds and can reach speeds of 40mph.
Well the venture 8 is made for Shell eco marathon nothing has stopping you for going out and designing your own.

Thanks for the hunt. I like products that integrate the use of different techs to come up with something neat. I like the fact that this was assembled by using 150 3D printed parts and its solar-powered. It's fascinating to see 3D printing can now be used for designing and assembling solar-powered cars. I addition, I also like its design and that this was assembled by students.

Nanyang Venture is a revolution for cars because it is solar powered (this feature is already enough for a cool hunt) and it is also 3D printed. 40 mph speed is good but I think , it will be improved in the future. Great hunt.
