OctopusGripper is a bionic 'hand' for a robot that can get, hold and put down things items a mix of suckers and air. The Festo OctopusGripper has a structure made completely from a delicate silicone material that is pneumatically controlled using packed air. OctopusGripper Designed to grasp safely however tenderly, so as not to crush or harm whatever it is holding Basically, when air is drawn in, the limb twists internal and folds over articles, all while gradually giving up when air is let out.
