While doing my daily hunts, I came across something marvelous. Have you ever heard of a Cloud Operating System? If you have, you are ahead of me.

What is OpenStack?

It allows admins, developers the ability to provision and or control huge computer, and storage resources through what it looks like a very user-friendly dashboard. The users can also request changes or provisions through a web interface.

"Using OpenStack also requires a well-oiled machinery of skilled staff and resources."

What really caught my attention is this project/dashboard is all open sourced.

    • Advantages of agility.

    • Reduction of costs and a differentiation before its competitors.

    • Innovation to design new web applications.

    Cons:

    • It is not the simplest platform to implement.

    • Difficulty to recruit and retain experts in OpenStack.

    Pros:

    • Operating system in the cloud that allows to automate different projects thanks to the fact that it controls a large amount of resources.
    • System created in open source.
    • It has a community that provides support to new users

    Cons:

    • account needed to use
    • Only people who are related to programming can use it.

    Pros :

    • Cloud operating system that can sustain large pools of computing
    • Many products and services distributed
    • Empowering users

    Cons :

    • Need to be technical to fully use the software
    • Needs to learn basic network and application setup
