Humans use too much plastic for convenience, and much of it is being thrown away without recycling. I like the concept as plastic has become danger number one for nature and I think it's safe to say for humanity as well.
These shoes look great, are practical to use, I'd love one for nature walking or even gardening. The only impediment is the price. They are a bit expensive I guess but that doesn't mean won't be cheaper in the future, so fingers crossed.

Glad to know about these environment friendly stuff, during raining most effected thing is your shoes even you have umbrella but you could not save your shoes from wetting. I need one pair of such shoes use during outdoor activities and also in boating. looks great waterproof shoes.

UNBELIEVABLE! I am shocked to see that such shoes are existing now. I would love to buy one pair of shoe for myself because here is winter so wet and we need such shoes where socks don't get wet in the rainy season.

Great hunt! Plastic is menace to the world. This is an efficient way recycling some this non biodegradable virus. I just wonder whether these shows are comfortable, as in is wrapping plastic around me going to lead to foot odour or worse? I think this is the most creative hunt of the day. More and more plastic material are being produced and used by us. Plastic material thrown into the ocean could harm the environment and ocean lifes. This is sooooo great. As a kid I hated going out on shoes during the rainy season because the rain ruins the shoes. Wearing sandals has its own drawbacks and let's not forget how shoes stink after it as been in muddy water for some time. I'm impressed by what these shoes can do and I'm even more impressed that making these shoes actually help to keep the environment clean.
Ocean plastic can actually be quite harmful for aquatic species and may even risk extinction. You could actually get 2 pairs for $169 if you are fast enough before the stock end. I think it's a great price. But the retail version is a $129 which is bit high if you don'earn much.

I saw the other shoes also made from recycled ocean plastics and have to say I like the design of these ones better even if the other pair had more custom options, regardless it was not water proof so these are awesome and I can see them being easy to clean if you do step on any muddy puddles. I like what it's doing for the environment but the price continues to be steep.

@conradt this is such a cool hunt. Not only is it great that recycled plastices is used but the entire idea of shoes being waterproof is exactly what I need. During this weekend, I went camping and got my runners all soaked in the rain for 3 days. Didn't like that. This is what I need to get. Thanks for the great hunt.
