When you equip a bag with sensors and an application, you'll get a backpack that is smart enough to notify you when:
(i) Someone is trying to open your backpack
(ii) someone is trying to take your whole backpack
(iii) When you left / forgot your backpack
In a nutshell, Skarabeos is a smart backpack designed by Wolfgang Langeder from Austria, which i found very useful and a must have type of backpack when you are always commute / traveling on a busy place. Typically you wont realize what happened to your backpack. When you do, it's already too late.
With the notification received, you will always notified and aware of what is happening with your backpack behind your back in real-time. Thus providing you with the highest level of protection for your personal belonging.

- Customize-able setting for notification
- Able to connect to smartwatch & smartphone
Con:
- Bag sensor is powered by standard double A battery. Not a built-in rechargeable battery

This is my opinion about Smart Bag Skarabeos
Pros:
Bags are not just a tool to store things when we travel, but bags have become a daily necessity when we want to do an activity. I often hear my friend lose valuables while storing it in a bag, as most bags only use zipper for safety. In contrast to Skarabeos is using sensors and sophisticated security applications, I think this bag is very secure and comfortable.
Cons:
Like most technologies that use batteries, I'm just worried about the battery chargers.
