In the sharing economy, Felyx takes the next step in transportation: Electric Scooter sharing!
The super cool feature of this service is that the user doesn't have to return the Electric Scooter to a specific station; The user can leave it wherever he or she wants.
Anybody who is nearby, can book and take a scooter of choice. All powered through a simple smartphone App for Apple and Android devices.
For those cities where a helmet is required, these are stored in the scooter.
felyx offers shared electric scooters, available for €0,30 per minute. You can start your ride in 3 simple steps. Use the felyx app to locate, reserve, and activate the nearest e-scooter.
Currently the App services various large cities in Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, with big expansion plans.

I hope helmets are required in every city and people stop breaking rules. South Asian countries have already seen startups such as these where 2 wheelers are a major mode of transport. Good to see a scooter sharing start-up in Europe as well. Although i still think, with better infra, bikes or ebikes will be more popular in Europe

Sure, bikes are more popular, and maybe this will be the case for the future as well (some countries excepted, Italy is full of scooters for instance). From my travels through Asia, I realise indeed the scooter is hugely popular!

I can see the potential of Felyx to be a big player in South East and South Asian territories where there is a large population density and not enough development or roads. Vietnam for an example face massive traffic congestion. This can be quite stressful for everyone.
Felyx can help reduce traffic congestion while providing people an easy and cheap travel option that is better than public transportation o getting a taxi or an Uber.

Cool service. I think, aside from the residents of the city/ies, this would be very attractive for the tourists, like me, who love to see the city more closely, and a scooter is one of the best options for that, other than walking, which is tiring.

You touched on a very interesting point, the ability to park anywhere. A scooter still have the advantage in many countries it can be parked in places cars are not allowed to park, eg on pavements.

As I read about it and find amazing tools about it.A great application that is largely controlled by our smartphone. As its name itself, E-scooter means Internet-powered scooter which does not require keys. This can be easily handled with our mobile phones. Because it is connected by USB cable, we can easily use handsfree navigation.

Hahahaha, indeed, 5 years ago we were living in a different world, as we will in lets say a few decades. Than we will only have sharing type of transportation system if it would be up to me. Self driven and all, we will be able to catch any different kind of vehicle to get us from A to B. These sharing services are building the bridge towards to future.
