Plastic Patrol is an app using crowdsourcing to create a picture of where plastic waste is found and how much of it there is, which will help to tackle the problem in a more productive way.
Plastic Patrol is all about bringing together the efforts of committed individuals by inviting you to share your plastic pollution finds from anywhere in the world. By crowdsourcing data we are able to create a realistic picture of the plastic problem, and process this to identity trends, hot spots and pressure points that will allow us to make real and immediate change. https://www.plasticpatrol.co.uk/

Plastic is a problem which is getting very serious and we as a community need to solve this problem until it gets too late. I think this App Plastic Patrol has a great potential as it tells/guides where the plastic is accumulated and further steps can be taken to clear out the plastic in an appropriate manner so that it does not pollute the environment. I have to applaud anything which brings the issue of plastic waste to everyone's attention. More apps like this are needed, but instead of notifying those who already care, they should interrupt and bother the people who don't.
