Hunter's comment
If you have a Chromebook but for some reason, you no longer want to use the default services and applications from Google.
For instance, applications and data that are almost in the cloud, then you should try Gallium OS. With a little trick from Linux insider, you can install Gallium OS on your Chromebooks.
This Linux distribution is a derivative of Ubuntu, precisely Xubuntu, known for its light and fast nature. If you have Chromebooks and want to use the OS other than the default Chromebooks OS, you should try Gallium OS.

Nice hunt @iqbaladan!
I have thought for a long time that I wouldn't mind getting a Chromebook but I have never been keen on using a laptop powered by Google and all of it's inbuilt spyware and unnecessary bloatware which can be difficult to remove.
Now this Linux distro is available, I may be tempted to get one and install this straight away.
