Piñatex is a cheaper and more sustainable textile, an original and natural alternative to leather, it is made from pineapple leaf fiber waste. Only 16 pineapples are needed to make 1 square meter of cloth without damaging any animal, generating income to small communities. This lightweight but strong and flexible textile is used in fashion design, accessories, upholstery and is also ideal for medical purposes because it is antibacterial.
