Fritzing App

An opensource electronic design software for electronic students, makers, designers and hobbyist. It allow users to design and create electronic circuit at ease. Users can choose where to create the circuit from 4 interface/environment in the app. These are Schematic, Breadboard, PCB and Code.

What can you do with Fritzing?

  • Users can easily create and design electronic circuit using standard schematic symbols from the Schematic interface.
  • Are you bored with doing it on a diagram? You can use the Breadboard interface to have a realistic experience of putting circuit components on a breadboard.
  • Does your project needs to be on a PCB? This is right for you. The PCB interface allows you to design and layout a PCB for your electronic circuit.
  • Needs to do a coding for an Arduino or Rasberry PI? No need to worry. Fritzing has a code interface where you can write the Arduino or Rasberry PI code.

Advantage

  • It is easy to use and suited for beginners.
  • It allows user to have flexibility of environment to do their electronic circuits and projects.
  • It has a wide library of components including different modules such as Arduino or Rasberry PI.

Disadvantage

  • Unfortunately, users cannot simulate or check its circuit for possible faults and error.

How can I download?

You can visit fritzing app website or go to its Github account.

Now this is my first review from @juecoree my man!

Pros:

  • It is an Open source - it means it is for free
  • Great for Electronics designs and implementations you may also use it for free!
  • User Interface is really easy to understand
  • Good for students because it is educational at the same time

Cons:

  • As stated already above that Fritzing App cannot simulate the possible erros. What do you expect from an open source app? Yes there are still bugs that needs to be solved

Rating this Hunt 4.5/5 !

Hey @juecoree! Nice find!
This is a great app for electronic enthusiasts. I would definitely recommend it.

What make it good? (Pros)

  • Users can able to construct circuit by either schematic, on breadboard, or PCB.

  • It is good for student taking electronic design courses especially involving PCB layout.
  • It has wide range of modules for Arduino.
  • it is Free.

What needs to improve? (cons)

  • It cannot simulate circuit. This is only good for creating or building circuit on breadboard and PCB.
  • There are generic components that are not available.

Rating: 4/5

I definitely start using this. Thank you!.

pros:

  • Perfect for developers
  • Provides creative interface for everyone
  • It's quite genial for first-time learners
  • Understandable and easy to work with which produce good outcome

cons:
Not so many active users yet

pros

  • very handy for circuit designers
  • free
  • has lots of components
  • has microcontrollers
  • easy to use
    cons
  • limited components
