Approximately 10% of the world population suffers from diabetes and 2 to 5 million people die from the metabolic abnormalities arising from the condition. Monitoring diabetes and blood sugar levels can be difficult and painful as it involves syringes. Medella health has developed a path breaking solution for effective diabetes monitoring and management.
The company has launched a smart contact lems platform that monitors blood glucose levels at all times. The data is fed into the user's smartphone and thus easily accesible for the patient and the doctor. Biosensors present in the lens help detect sugar levels.
Winner of numerous awards and backed by strong funding, this platform is definitely going to revolutionise diabetes montoring and will also be cost effective.
