With this service you can send emails to any ethereum address, it all stays on blockchain and even after long time user can check if he got any messages. They have IMAP and SMTP server setup like other email providers to let users have direct communication between Ethereum addresses using standard email technology.
Its a beta that just started. Watch out for bugs and all mails stay on blockchain - encrypted though.

This type of service would be pretty awsome on the Steem blockchain really. Another benefit we have here (other than no gas fees) would be that it would be much easier to remember the e-mail address, since usernames are so much easier to remember than wallet addresses for Ethereum.
