This is a digital thermometer based on infrared waves , forget about past thermometers. In old time drs use analog thermometer which take 10 minute to give you the result , if you baby has fever doctor take long time, but with this digital thermometer you can check any body temperature with in a second. This infrared meteor can give you result into Fahrenheit or Celsius.If you are not using this meter for some time it will be turned off automatically,In such condition you can also check whether through it because it can also read minus Celsius Temperature.

I remember as a child how much I hated holding thermometer in my mouth or under my arm...I felt gross and helpless:)

Here in Africa, we wait on a long queue just to get our temperature checked. It is wonderful to know it is a piece of cake. Technology like this will save us lot of stress and time. I love the simplicity of this thermometer. I am happy i saw this here today!

This thermometer is much more convenient to both the patient and the doctor.For the Doctor he can get his temperature measurements in seconds and for the patient no more akward holding of traditional thermometers under the armpit. Great hunt @lays

Infra red thermometers have been existing since ages. I don't understand how this is a cool product because the technology is almost as old as the abacus.

Super product and Hunt, but I still like the analogue ones. I remember vividly how I was playing ill when I was a kid, by shaking the thermometer to a nice 39+ degrees celcius; Very difficult to do with a digital one :) But then again, I don't have to play ill anymore to my parents :)

This is going to be very helpful for kid's usage. Though they say the price is $19.99, when I am trying to buy it, its showing me the price as $23.99, so feeling a bit frustrated to pay the extra, because I will again have FX charges on top of this.
