EPED: epidermal, paper-based electronic device

This is a wearable sensor "smart sticker" that was developed by researchers from Purdue University. It can be used to monitor health of a heart patient. It alerts the wearer of any possible problem in real time. It can also be used by athletes wherein they can monitor and log their performances during training.

It is primarily made of cellulose which are cheap to make, biocompatible and breathable. Since it is biocompatible, it can also be implanted onto internal organs for medical surveillance purposes like sleep pattern monitoring. It is designed to be hydrophobic so it does not fall off when it gets wet.

Thank you. 😊

Great idea great hunt . It’s rrally important to work on projects like this and help people to be more attention on health problems. Thanks a lot for this hunt friend

Seems to be a good way of getting your stats while training without wearing one of those mostly bulky fitness watches. Also the benefit of heart patience is tremendous.

Yes, I think this device will be very handy for both athletes and patients. It is negligible that wearer may not even feel it is there.

Thank you for dropping by my post. 😊

Prevention is better than treatment, this device applies this statement is a constant follow-up to the health of the patient or the person who wants to preview heartbeat, heart is the hardest member of the members of the human and permanent monitoring is a good thing and something we must do so this device helps us a lot to maintain our health.
Thank you.

I totally agree with your thoughts and assessment of this device. This will be of great help to the patient and also to the medical staff, caregiver or family members.

Thanks for dropping by. 😊

Howdy there macoolette! this is some interesting tecnology! Do you guys have something similar to Thanksgiving Day over there?

Nope. We don't have Thanksgiving but many are already having the Christmas frenzy.
