Ever since Tata bought Jaguar Land Rover, nothing exciting really happened until the latest 5 seater SUV Harrier.
Built on D8 platform similar to Disc sport and evoque, Harrier has excellent driving dynamics and stability.
Key features:
- 138 bhp
- 9 JBL speakers
- plenty of room - 485 l of boot and 805 l with seats down
- 17 inch alloy wheels
- surround airbag protection
- stylish looks and stability
- eco, sport, wet and rough road modes
Downside:
- noisy engine
- could have added more power
- steering feedback could be improved
- no AWD- only front wheel drive, may not be ideal for terrains.
- only manual, no automatic yet
Despite these Im sure Harrier would be a sure click in India with its stylish looks, performance and safety. The high end version XZ is preiced at Rs 16.25 lakhs ( $23,500 or £18,000) which isn’t too bad and the other versions start from Rs 18,500.
I would own one of this as the reviews say this is ideal for long drives.

Tata is well known brand for durable cars but with this model they are moving to economic luxury segments. Nice suv car look wise and interior.is pretty good
