B4X is a group of Integrated Development Environments (IDE) of the RAD (Rapid Application Development) type, which allows the creation of applications on any platform such as Android, iOS, Apple, Java, among others, manufactured by Anywhere Software. The B4X programming language is a modern version of Visual Basic.
Some of the most relevant features of B4X are:
It is a Rapid Application Development tool for native Android apps.
It is also an environment (IDE), with a programming language focused on the development of Android.
Compiles to native code (bytecode).
Did you know that...?
APK files are exactly the same as those generated in Java/Eclipse.
You don't need to know how to program in XML.
It has a WYSIWYG visual editor for Android, so it supports multiple screens and resolutions.
He's got a cloud service.
B4X is compatible with most platforms than any other tool we know of: Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, ESP8266, among others.
"B4A, B4i and B4J have a visual designer that simplifies the process of creating user interfaces (However, due to the nature of single board computers, Raspberry Pi and B4R are not compatible with the visual designer).
