The developer claims that anyone can get a taxi in 47 prefectures where 53,692 taxis are at service.
The App offers three functions
Hail a taxi on spot. Enable GPS on smartphone, tab a location as a pickup point, a taxi nearby may pick you up.
Reserve a taxi in advance. Choose a time and a location.
Reserve a flat-rate airport transfer. Choose a time and a destination.
To apply, download the app, enter your phone, email and your name. You may use Apply Pay or a wallet 'JapanTaxi Wallet' dedicated to the app. The wallet 'JapanTaxi Wallet' requires credit card permission.
This app may saves the hassle of communicating with taxi drivers. I am not saying that taxi drivers in Japan are impolite, somehow, tourists like me may have difficulties communicating with them. With this app, I can hail or book a taxi with ease. This maybe a great app for tourists who need taxi services often in Japan.
