Hunter's comment

Akai is a brand that is well known within the electronic music industry to make all sorts of quality professional audio equipment, most notably known for their MPC line of audio production midi controllers

The team that initially created this piece of equipment can rest easy knowing that the APC40 does nothing other than bolster the already lofty reputation of the company

What makes this controller so perfect its really nothing special, but that it packs all of the essentials into a single controller

16 knobs, 9 faders, a crossfader, responsive lights & buttons and pads galore

Originally the APC40 was created to be used exclusively for the industry leading DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) known as Ableton, but like all midi controllers it can easily be re/mapped to work with any other piece of software.

That is really where this midi controller shines as its become the number one midi controller used for a plethora of other applications such as Resolume
