Are you getting fed up with constantly replacing your ink cartridges? And every time you do you're reminded how expensive these cartridges are?

This will change with the MFC-J995DW Printer having extra huge ink compartments inside. You can either buy the printer filled up with ink for a year or even 2 years. These new ink compartment technology prevents them for drying out and once the year or two past you can fill them up again with cartridges which will then last again for a minimum of a year. This new way of restocking your printer with ink will lower the printing price per page to pennies.

Pros:

looks cool
extra huge ink compartments
if one 1 of ink ain't enough you can upgrade it to CL, than it'll last up to 2 years
control it via phone
copy, print and scan possibility

Cons:

Its a bit big thing that might stay on your way, all in all cool thing to haven

HI @randomgoodstuff,

Thanks for yet another hunt. To be entirely honest, I’m not convinced that having larger ink cartridges makes this printer an innovative or cool item. All it means in my book is that Brother, after having found a way to allow only expensive cartridges anymore is now also hunting those who use (alternative) ink bottles piped through the traditional (chipped) cartridges.

Yet, while it is Friday already here and my opinion may be biased - because of a loathing of the “monopoly” on cartridges with integrated chips - I can accept this model is a rather “novel approach” for a big brand like Brother and have approved your hunt.

Note: I will approve such printer ONLY once! ;)
