Camera Mouse was invented at Boston College to help people with disabilities use the computer. We make it available for free download, with no gimmicks or advertisements or registration, because we want to help as many people as possible.
This is a free program to control your mouse pointer on the computer screen by moving your head. No need to buy costly accessories, a built-in camera or a web camera is enough. This works with all application programs and browsers in Windows computers and tablets.
Clicking can be done by making the mouse pointer dwell over a spot on the screen (after first turning Clicking on in Settings).
This will help a lot of disabled peoples to change their life. This is free and easy to use.

I think the Internet has developed and there has been an imbalance of information. It's a problem with people with disabilities and old people who can't access the Internet.I think this product is one of the great things that gives many people access to the Internet. This is another great move in place to get those with disabilities helped out. I am really pleased seeing this functions. It seems useful for those who don't have disability issues too. Wow mega mind control but no in all seriousness this is amazing I have seen other products similar but gosh you need some expensive equipment and really powerful software to do it but with "Camera Mouse" all you need is a webcam that is if you don't have one already, plus this is also free and easy to set up shockingly no sign-up needed either, great hunt.

This reminds me of a project my cousin did in his final year. It was controlling pc with your finger in front of camera. This is same like that but with head. This is good way to assist people who are disabled.

While it may not be a great idea to question something that was built with good intent, i can't help but think that this may not have been fully thought through. If a disabled person can't use the mouse, how they type? This way one has reduced their life to minesweeper, and that can get boring once in a while. Also, left wink for left click and right wink for right click would have been better. Scrolling up should be rotating head anti clockwise and scrolling down clockwise.

Camera Mouse is a free program, developed at Boston College, that allows the user to control the mouse simply by tracking the movement of their head. The user can generate a click by resting on a icon for a predetermined amount of time. Camera Mouse is for anyone with purposeful head movement that may not have full use of their hands. If the user does not have purposeful and controlled head movement, then EagleEyes would be a better option.
