design VirtualLink 1.0, no new connector design but will utilize USB-C connectors that already exist in various devices. VirtualLink has the same shape as USB-C but with the modification of the presence of video connection with a bandwidth of 32.4 Gbps which is equivalent to Display Port 1.4.
VirtualLink is capable of delivering up to 4K @ 120Hz resolution support, and there is support for USB 3.1 Gen 2 connections that can be used for data transfer between headset and PC with 10 Gbps bandwidth.
The VirtualLink connector aims to reduce this plug to a single USB-C connector capable of VirtualLink mode.
a simple single connector will make it easier to connect a VR headset to a smaller-form factor device such as a sleek laptop that may not have a USB port and a full-sized screen.
