The Astrobee system consists of three cubed-shaped robots, software and a docking station used for recharging. The robots use electric fans as a propulsion system that allows them to fly freely through the microgravity environment of the station. Cameras and sensors help them to “see” and navigate their surroundings!

i had no idea we had these little dudes up there in space, so cool! i'm guessing that sooner or later they are gonna be 'SMART' running that space station and early warning systems all on it's own, maybe in thousands of years they will discover him and think this was the life on the planet! :)

That is pretty awesome that they are using them up there! I think that we are going to start seeing more and more things like this being used to do some of the tasks that are too dangerous or that we just don't want to do. Look at how robot vacuums have blown up recently. This is a really cool hunt. thanks for sharing!

So you are telling me that these little things are flying around up above earth with the astronauts!? That's amazing! I wonder what other cool robots NASA has hidden away for missions in space. Cool hunt :0)
