you heard about the new kid on the block and their first implementation of the Mimblewimble protocol? it's ok, i only just heard that name again too -- biggest thing of interest to me is the ability to atomic swap to bitcoin, looks like it's gonna be the year for beam to make some impact.
Confidentiality without penalty - in BEAM confidential transactions do not cause bloating of the blockchain, avoiding excessive computational overhead or penalty on performance or scalability while completely concealing the transaction value
