Both the data and control channels use upgraded AES and SHA256 encryption and hash algorithms. Options are pre-configured to verify your server certificate to battle MITM attack vectors

some seriously cool open source software out there you can learn about easily with projects just like this and a $35 raspberry pi i mean you could not do that when i was a teenager! great!
