Expanding on @vimukthi's excellent dWebs hunt is the next step in the Decentralized Web... the Decentralized Social Networking.
Some people are on the Steem blockchain for the money, or the more authentic community but there are a huge number of people on this blockchain because their viewpoints are continually censored Twitter, Facebook, etc.
The whole Infowars debacle is a perfect example.
dWebs is such a huge step in the right direction, and dStatus is a first important step. Your computer is your host, no one can shut you down or censor you. Governments, corporations, even the Great Firewall of China is powerless against dStatus.
This is so incredibly important. Check it out.

Excellent Hunt! It's great to finally put the dBrowser to use. It was a cool experience. Things were a little slow for me and obviously it is a prototype. But it is great to see some great UI for such a bare bones experimental project.
Steemit/Busy/SteemHunt all have to face various kinds of censorship, server problems and DDOS. So initial lag and bare bones features is a small price to pay.
I'd love to see STEEM being used through dBrowser. But the browser will need some optimization.
Let's just keep spreading the good word. 100% upvoted and resteemed!

You're very welcome... and thank you very much too. I was initially bummed that you had already hunted dWebs, but you did such a great job of it that I couldn't help but shout out.
I've really struggled with dBrowser so far... dStatus is really the only dapp I've gotten working on this platform.. but I think I just need to spend more time on it.

I wish, they should have some kind of FAQ on how it works internally, that a lay man can understand. Also the security part of the dbrowser is not quite evident. I checked on the Documentation link, but that does not have enough details.

I totally agree @sanmi - it was only just built though, so I guess they haven't really caught up... I've had a lot of trouble with this... and one thing I don't understand is that if it's truly peer-to-peer does that mean your information just doesn't exist when your computer is off. I think as more developers develop for this platform then it'll get fleshed out a lot more.

dWebs is going to be futuristic version of socil networking, one can see tokenized version of social netoworking but without censorship will be the next generations idea of socializing and will be more demanding in future.

Thanks so much for your comment @sthitaprajna! I don't think dWebs is necessarily tokenized, but it's definitely impervious to censorship. Someone would have to physically remove your computer or cut your network lines in order to censor you...

It's been a little bit tricky to set up... and I'm not 100% sure how it all works.. but I honestly do believe this has to be the future of the internet...

This is a very cool idea plenty of steemit users are put off because they don’t feel they are content creators but everyone gets the idea of social media and giving you the opportunity to share your opinion on topics! Will definitely check it out

Thanks @chekohler - thanks for the comment! These are totally unrelated to Steemit, but I completely agree... Steemit users are probably the exact right people to take advantage of these Dapps and get a huge benefit out of them.
