At first glance, I honestly don't really get it.

Own a famous website.... on a card!

I'm not super sure where the value comes in... I guess it would be kind of cool to own the card for a really popular website, but it's hard to know if anyone truly cares.

I actually tried to create a marble card for Steemhunt, but they said I couldn't create it yet... so maybe domains are released in a drip feed. That seems like a fair approach and not so ponzi-scheme-ish.

Some of the cards have sold for nearly 4 ETH, so I guess some people are finding value or excitement here.

It's all pretty weird in the cryptocollectible space.

Thank you so much Mona!

I'm just as confused as you about the appeal and the purpose of this website. Lol! You mentioned how it will be cool to "own" a website's card, but I really don't see the point beyond that. I guess that's something only a collector would understand?

On the legal/technical aspect, I wonder whether copyright issues or any other similar problems could come about from "owning" a website's card. I mean, imagine if you own a website and someone else, like a competitor, decides to buy your card. Wouldn't there be issues about that?

Exactly! Is that insulting, or a tribute? Does it even matter? If you own the card of Elon Musk's Twitter account, does that mean anything at all? Why are people paying 4 ETH for the cards of particular websites?

I totally wonder if I'm just completely missing the point, or if these cards are literally trying to create value out of nothing...

Wow! 4ETH for a card that has no real use or value? Even with the current price of Ethereum that's still a lot. I guess, that's why I'm not a collector. Lol!
