When I first saw this motorcycle online I was like what! Is that a motorcycle or what (because it had three tyres), and yeah, it sure is a motorcycle. Its called the NIKEN and it's made by Yamaha. Its one of those cases where companies begin to push the boundary of what's possible and begin to think outside the box and innovate.
The NIKEN is a revolutionary motorcycle in its design. The first and most obvious thing that will strike you about this motorcycle is its front wheels. It has on the front a 'Revolutionary Leaning Multi-Wheel Chassis'. Also this bike looks unique compared to any thing else on the road. Sure engine and power-wise it doesn't lack and it comes with advanced technologies for safety and to aid the rider.
I'm not a motorcycle person I don't really know much about motorcycles but the NIKEN comes with
An advanced 3-cylinder engine.
Unique staggered intake funnels.
Assist and slipper clutch.
Compact 6-speed transmission.
Cruise control system.
Unique double-tube/dual-axiis steering design.
Class-defying leaning multi-wheel chassis.
Adjustable horizontal monocross shock.
And so much more....
According to some youtube videos I've watched about NIKEN the handling feels like a motorcycle and if your eyes were closed while riding you wouldn't know you were on three tyres instead of two. The extra tyre gives it more grip. The NIKEN starts at $15999.
