This is a great product by Texas Instruments which is designed by aiming at the educational field. This graphing calculator comes with pre-installed softwares and tools. It can define up to ten graphing functions. You can save them, make a graph and analyze them at the same time.
Other options include horizontal and vertical split screens. It contains 8 display lines. It has a Input Output port to communicate with other TI (Texas Instruments) products.
It supports TI basics and Assembley programming.
TI-SmartView™ Emulator Software for the TI-84 Plus family software. Allow educators to project a representation of the calculator’s display to the entire class. It is an ideal demonstration tool for leading classroom instruction of math and science concepts.

Where this product was hiding when I was doing my graduation in engineering. :D
It can be used to solve and practice the lectures. I am amazed to see that big software we used to use in our computer has been launched in a small calculator. It shows the true technological advancements.

Graphing calculators are banned mostly for some schools, it is because the student will depend on the graphing calculator. What I mean - it is banned when it comes to Exams and Quizzes.
