Avuur earing use RGB LEDs which are programmable and can emit light in different pattern.
You can change the color and pattern of light emitted from a small button on the backside of earing.
The next prototypes are planned to be bluetooth connected.

Interesting product. Although I think I've seen a much more technologically advanced earring on a here. An earring that doubles up as an earphone and can connect with devices wirelessly. Would be interesting if this one can go a bit better than that at the end of the day.

Hey @xabi, I dont know if "programmable" is the correct term for this (too technical for fashion), and I just found out from the kickstarter page, they also stated programmable LED earrings. Well whats new?

I also went through the whole page, i don't get what is programmable here either. The user can't program the circuit board. They can only click buttons.

This is tacky design, a terrible idea. And $39 for costume jewellery makes it expensive. May be kids buy will buy it. Like shoes with light. Or people going to clubs, or dark dingy places. Nonetheless, terrible product for a hunt. Just because it's on Kickstarter, doesn't mean it has to here.

Ahha.. now that's a product for us. I love the idea. Now we can ware and match our jewelry easily with our dress color. I am waiting for the day to program the shape of the jewelry too, then we would not have to buy so many things.

The version you are commenting on are really more "Controllable" The new Kickstarter for the Avuur Bluetooth programmable earrings will be coming out in the next week.
