I've wondered how to set up lighting-related devices for a musical, a concert, etc. Perhaps in the domain of experts we used to think there was something we didn't know. I am surprised because I didn't know there was a software simulation program before setting up a stage for any performance. It is likely to be very useful for performance planners as they can calculate how many lights are required to be used for the performance, and calculate how many angles and colors each situation will produce and how much total power will be consumed with the software.
