Great video, but have a geez at my rant on the internal market

https://steemit.com/steem/@bulleth/if-you-really-want-steem-to-be-successful-stop-being-lazy-and-buying-it-on-the-internal-market

Internal market does zero as far as bringing new money into the platform - it is a game of hot potato with existing investors. Please do a video on selling your SBD for Bitcoin and buying STEEM with outside bitcoin XD

Thanks for the video. Much appreciated.

The more of these kinds of things, the better. Some of the concepts that I find newbies have a hard time with:

  • The difference between STEEM and SBD. Seems wildly obvious to those of us who've been here a while, but it's weird and confusing for newcomers. Especially since SBD is trading so high lately.
  • The difference between Voting Power, Steem Power, and Reputation. People often confuse all of these pretty badly.
  • I was going to mention the whole SBD->STEEM conversion thing, but that's been temporarily removed from the GUI so it's not as important at the moment.

Keep it up!

Thank you for the info. I'm surprised at the ability to see so much about someone's activity on the platform through steemd.com. So much for privacy... However, thank you for the info about voting power. It helped clear that issue up for me.

Those are exactly the things that I am struggling with. If you could point me in any direction to help me understand those 3 things, I would greatly appreciate it.

@biophil I agree. This type of content helps many :D

Thanks for the input! Will touch on some of those topics shortly 😎

Very educational and much help to newbies.

I really like the video, i will try the market next time . What software do you use to capture your videos they look cool, do you need a green screen? Thanks

Thanks! OBS and a green screen.

Keep creating! Thumbs up for sharing steem content on YT

Nice and necessary content bro ... keep it up!!!

This necessary content important for us.

Great post Dan; very easy to follow. You've gotten really good at using the green screen too! Could you do a tutorial of how you turned my steem into way more money please?!!

great tutorial!

Thanks for this video, very informative @dan-atstarlite. How do I sell my SBD for like 11.5x Steem like many people are talking about? Is that using the internal market or something else?

Yes. Using the internal market!

Great tutorial. More people need to know about the powerful wallet and exchange-like features of Steemit, and it is all built-in.

First time I have loss for convert sbd to steem...... I have got less steem than sbd..... I can't understand the steemit process.....

It most likely was due to the spread. That small difference between the highest buy and the lowest sell orders. Also keep in mind that SDB and STEEM have different actual values, so it is not a 1 to 1 conversion.
See you around!

wow..its a great post.

keep it up
Thank you @dan-atstarlite

How about seed node information? How to? Minimum requirements?

Thank you...

This is a great little tutorial. Trying to watch as many informative videos on the such a wide variety of subjects can be seriously daunting. This is direct and to the point. Thank you.

Absolutely necessary for new Steemit users!

I'm new and I agree!!

@dan-atstarlite thanks, for breaking down this topic in an easy to understand manner :-) You're making great strides ...

Excellent post, very helpful thank you.

That was good info for a beginner such as myself...Thanks

Hi

Taks for the video its very informative but could you tell me how the chart thing works ..it looks simillar to GDAX but i never really knew ow it works. i understand that the orders on the buy side the green side are high so people think the price will go up but is that a buy signal?

i was thinking you would want to buy when the price is low and sell high so wouldnt you want to buy when the sell side had high volume of orders...and sell when buy side had high volume of orders?

I have watched a video where it was claimed you should do the oposite in this case as these are not actual orders that have been executed but instead area a reflection of peoples expectation.

i know it gives me a head ache just thinking about it...but still i would love to hear your views.

This is a great for buying and selling Bitcoin

Thank you... Very useful info.

I'd be interested in a video covering how the interest rate gets calculated.

Quite helpful.. as a lot of people would have no idea on how to get this done. Nice one!

Thanks for the tutorial. Still like to affirm that I am converting internally the way it is meant to be done.

I have benefited greatly from it
I appreciate your effort

I am really liking your tutorials. I just learned over the past 2 weeks about the internal market. I was always told to do the transfer of SBD to steem that takes over 3 days. I have been hurting myself tremendously. It's kinda of nice about this recent surge in crypto because all the "how to's" and tutorials are being made. It was hard to find information before. Thanks again.

Outstanding tutorial! Thank you so much for this post! I appreciate it immensely! I'm upvoting and following my Friend! :)

So Dan, what then does one do with SBD on this exchange. How does it add value?

Just stole some bags.... $1st $steem $flo $vox $lbc $burst $bnt $dgb. All YOLO, fixed risk (no stop loss, ok with bags going to 0 or delist). If you have any corn left... this is the time to bargain shop.

thank you for the vital tutorial, good job

I'm new and seems the more I read the more confusion or questions I have. This was a fantastic tutorial, I feel so much better now!! Thank you, and please keep them coming!

Your Vlog continue to amaze me. It so difficult for me before to execute buy and sell order since I'm new in trading, even there are other videos on youtube. But with this video, I learn so fast. Now I know why trader says buy low sell high. Thank you for making this one. Hope you have a video about how to transfer steem/steem dollar or other cryptos to our own wallet. Another successful video. Congratulations! I'm official a fan. ;)

As a new Jack, I should very much like to see a series, in order, of all navigation within steemit.com
Many think the money very important, and I will get to it, but first I think it more important to find a list or explanation for finding icons and when and where necessarily to use. Navigation will lead to more and better posts.
Thank-you

Is there a search box that one might find again the posts from yesterday that were interesting and now need rereading. Not just posts one might have lost, but usernames one may wish to read more of?

Happy to try my way here
Greetings to you

Helpful to all the new users of Steemit, just wish there was a way to buy on the internal market via credit card or bank transfer rather than using an external exchange!

Nice tutorial, I was looking for this recently.

This is very helpful information.

Dear dan-atstarlite
Recently I joined Eobot and as an experiment sent some sbd to my account there, my last attempt to try and see what happens when one begins to move things around seriously.
My previous attempts have failed miserably as Bittrex sits on some of my Steem and I can't even log on there any more.
Anyway following my request to them, Eobot responded but not to my satisfaction. I had asked the Eobot support why my transfer wasn't showing up. I queried if it was the memo address (although I didn't quote this as it was an email). Their response as follows:
"It would be the transaction hash / id. The memo number is different. We need something to lookup the transaction if you can do so on the steem block explorer"
I have no idea how to get the transaction hash/id or what the steem block explorer is. All I can see in my wallet is that I sent a sum to Eobot and to the correct address/memo. Can you help please?
Anyway I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a successful, healthy and Happy New Year! jv
