It is unfortunate that people feel the need to do this. I am new as well but have really just been observing while I try to figure out what this is all about. The hardest thing I have a time with is people posting links out to other articles. I may find it interesting but I'm not sure how much steem that level of effort actual deserves or if thats the type of content that is going to make this site great or just turn it into a reddit clone.

Right now I'm more interested in distribution and growing steemit. For me, a post needs to be original and interesting for me to vote on it. Quality and amount of effort aren't so important. But then again my vote isn't worth a lot yet. :)
