Two staff got employed same year, staff A was promoted without staff B receiving promotion. Staff B became envy of staff A next year staff A was promoted again then staff B became worried and ask their boss why he has not received any promotion yet.
In answer their boss told him that he will give him an assignment after the assignment he will explain to him. The boss now ask him to go and inquire from a company whether they have a particular product. Then staff B went and came back with the answer yes. Now their boss ask staff B how much is the product he said he did not ask, then he went back the second time to get the prize, when he came back their boss ask whether he negotiated the prize he said no.
Now their boss ask him to wait while he send staff A to the same errand. Staff A went and found out they have the product then he ask them the prize and he ask them whether his company can go into franchise with them they said yes and he added at what prize can they buy the product from them and he sealed the contract. When he came back with this report it was obvious to staff B why he has not been promoted.

It does not matter how hard you work but how smart, but hard work beats smartness when smartness does not work hard. Your efficiency counts when it is productive.
