Most steemers don't have 20+ years educating in the health industry.

Cleansing is great, never a bad time to cleanse.

Meat causes acidosis

protein is eaten to get the amino acids

All fruits have these same amino acids with out the discharge of bad acids(acidosis) into the blood stream.

Less acidosis = less inflamation

For me - most fruit equals inflammation. I eat jackfruit and some tiny apples here and that seems to do well. But I'm on a serving or less per day. I eat probably 8 servings of veggies and then protein and fat. This keeps the nodules and pain down compared to other options I've tried.

It's called AIP and works for a lot of people with auto-immune disease. We've been messed up and our soft tissue is mush. So for me - bone broth, collagen and gelatin are quick relief along with exercise and a lot of napping.
