Hi Steemians,
Is it time to come up with some Quick Start Guide to help newcomers get up to speed with Steem? There's clearly some confusion. People are asking the same questions again and again -- and it will get worse as more people sign up. There have been many great introductory posts explaining basics of Steem, but they are now out of plain sight and hard to find.
What might help is a post or a collection of posts describing basic stuff: posting, following, curation, feeds, rewards, powering up and down. To avoid controversy such post might be authored by @steemit, or rather be placed on steemit.com outside the blockchain. Then it could be linked from the site's main menu.
What do you think?
Pssssst, you, hey, you. Yes you, @mata.
NOT SO LOUD!
Listen: make your own, post it, profit. That's what I did at least, after a few weeks of lurking, observing, studying the action from the shadows in the distance:

It is a little outdated now that the follow-feeds have been implemented, but that one is still a little slow, so steemstats.com is still a valuable tool.
Check out steemithelp.com as well.

I know! I was thinking about something more permanent than a post. Or I'll have to redo it every second day. That might be not a bad idea after all ;)
I didn't know about steemithelp.com, thanks! How do people find it, by googling?

No, by stumbling over one of the steemit quick start guides everyone is posting every second day :)
