Steemit Iron Chef Act 02 round 09 : fruit salad

Here is my take on the this weeks iron chef theme: fruit salad. At the moment I'm really lucky to be in a climate that provides so many fresh fruits. Although staying on a fault line in the midst of a volcano comes with its own dangers. We are in the third day post earthquake here on lombok. I and many of the other villagers around me have been trying to avoid spending too much time inside the house. Most people have kitchens that are outside the main house in a bamboo or wooden structure. But the house I'm staying in the Kirchen is within the concrete confinds of the home. We've still been feeling tremors but it's gone down alot now. I felt more willing to get creative in the Kitchen again.

Fruits give you that natural sugar high, many have medicinal properties and there is something so uplifting about fruits, especially tropical ones that are even more satisfying in the hot climate. All of these fruits are picked on my friends land. They are organic and fresh, some local and rare that I don't know their English name.

Ingredients

Papaya
Pineapple
Small super sweet mango locals call lipstick mango
Sabo manila (English name unknown very creamy fruit with brown stone in the centre. At first glance looks like a Japanese permission but it isn't)
Gor (English name unknown, they are the small green and orange berries)

Sabo manila are almost like an avocado but even thicker and creamier in texture tastes like a sweet clotted cream, I'm a big an of these, I've got to say pretty much addicted.

I scooped out the insides and blended it to create a smooth cream. Next I blended the lipstick mangoes, I believe this name is given because when you eat them you get an orange glow around your whole mouth. The mango and the fruit cream together really taste like heaven! Just what I need right now....

Served with a slice of watermelon, papaya, pineapples and the Gor which taste like little sweet and sour pops.
