I too care about this update,. I do also feel the same as many expressing their frustration with the website "not working" as they say... but I have patience and understand that a few errors here and there aren't the end of the world, and honestly if we all just have patience we can get through this and people might not even be AWARE that we are even having problems, but we should allow a more free market approach to solving issues with steemit.com and if steemit inc and steemit.com wanna keep that private lets work on our own front ends, lets make more busy.org clones that can look nicer and attract even more people than steemit.com... imagien whe a steemit front end clone makes more money than the classic steemit.com... that will signala great day in the decentralization of the steem blockchain when we have more than one major gateway f rpeople to use steemit. But I think we can all take a step back and have some fun. I highly doubt the new logo negatively impacted developer workflow at all. At least I certainly hope logo design and coding aren’t being done by the same person (unless they’re crazy talented at everything!)

Well since I've worked on logotypes much of my entire life, I have some experience in the field. And l am certain it is not the answer to all publicity. In this case I have the feeling it is more a diversion than a solution. How is posing for t-shirts fixing the problems. Since the DDOS attack, steemit has been slow, and loaded with errors when trying to post or to comment or to upvote. Software companies are always quick to say yes there is a problem, But it will be fixed in our next upgrade. Actually I do believe in the platform as a Social Media and for it's ability to grow. Github may look easy for a programmer to use, but for a non-programmer, well it's pretty much like Greek to me. (HS only)
I have in and on other post made comments about specific problems. Here are a few that have been pointed out, some of which have also been pointed out to and by witnesses (@timcliff, @arcange, and @somguy123) having to post comments more than once before they take, having to vote more than once before they take, timeout errors, ws errors, and a few other errors that right now I can not remember. They have been documented on several post as I said.
Just how would I have known about steemit before August? My wife's friend told her about it, and she told me about it. I tried FB, YT, G+, and even had a twitter account. None of those really got used because I did not need a Social Media outlet that was mostly about the look at me generation.
You mentioned these people, so I may have made an incorrect assumption that you enjoy the political sides of Social media. I do not. I enjoy reading, so yes I am going to mention people that I would like to see on steemit, so sue me, we have different likes, so what. I think we actually agree on this, the more diversified the content is the better for everyone and for steemit.
I have asked around, Look at some of the complaints from people that have been here for over a year, It is not just us new users that are having issues and problems. I am not the only one that does not know where to go and find help or who to let know that I think there is a problem. That is why I have left messages for @timcliff, he at least tries to help. As an example visit @everittdmickey blog/post, he is a what many consider a Quality Content creator, he Joined August 2016.
I am sorry if anything in my post bother you, but the reality of the way steemit works is there is nowhere to go and blow of steem when things do not work right, other than in post such as this that may catch the eye of one of the developers. The 2017 roadmap stated that Steemit was gonna be rebranded (not Steem, it remains the same) because there was confusion between the two (Steem and Steemit).. Don't worry, the Steem logo stays the same. This just applies to the app/interface called Steemit.

but. like @ funkit say, actually what is needed is not a new logo. and a little of my desires. there may be a special form that can be used for by steemians to include their articles for review, and if passed the review then they will get an upvote.
Now, many articles are blingbling instead of getting a low upvote. this will make steemit lose the creative person inside. when creative people are capable of not even getting appreciation. such as having to have someone who has a high SP, is terrible.

I put in my vote for color in my previous comment. However this is not the reason why I am leaving this comment.
Pls allow my honesty, I know you have all the right to decide whom you want to delegate your sp to and when you want to take it back. I am shocked to see that you undelegated all your delegations to the 5 Chinese today. All at the same time.
I can’t speak for others, but i’ve seen how much efforts and work these people have been putting into Steemit in order to promote the community and keep high contents and retain good talents. Maybe I am side sighted as I’ve been focusing in Chinese community and don’t see how much efforts other communities have been doing. I believe everybody deserves opportunity and help. I guess maybe this is why you are taking your sp back from them and try to help others.
I am writing this just to let you know how much I appreciate the greatest support and efforts of those people that you delegated your SP to. You really picked the right ones. Without them, can’t speak for others, I believe I would be quitting from long time ago. My husband has given up his hope in Steemit after few months efforts as he feels frustrated about people ‘s voting behavior. Most people are money driven than looking for good content. I guess maybe your undelegating today is a good thing. It will shake out those who’s really in it for money than passionate about writing.
I am taking this opportunity to openly express how much I appreciate the help from my Chinese friends and they really deserve salute from everyone whom they’ve been helping. I am hoping that Steemit will be better and become a true community for people to share good content and passion. Money stimulation is a double blade. I look forward to seeing how the community will shape up after recent events.
