Can Someone Explain

in steemit •  7 years ago  (edited)

I earned 2 cents on a post, but the money did not go to my Steem wallet. Can some explain what is going on? Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Note, these are posts that I made on D.Tube.

You will get money after one week. This is how Steemit works.

But the money I make on my posts haven't been going to my wallet.

Also be aware that some places like DTube take beneficiary rewards out. DTube takes 25%.

There's also curator's rewards. That can be random, but typically no more than 22%.

It's a very complicated system that I'm still learning myself. If you want to see how much you'll get in USD after those rewards (and I'm not sure if they take into consideration the beneficiary rewards but I think they do), check out http://steem.supply/@aaliyahholt

I didn't even know that D.Tube took some of your money. Because those are the post that are not going to my wallet.

A couple of pennies on DTube may not even be enough to show up in your wallet. How many days has it been since you posted the video? You do have to wait 7 days.

Its been 7 days. And It did not go to my wallet
Edit, the money I earned mysteriously went to zero.

Yeah, the price fluctuates. It's the Steem Backed Dollar, after all. It's complicated.

At one time the SBD was pegged to 1 USD, but the peg has been broken for a bit now. It's somewhat complicated.

Anyway if you earn 1 or 2 pennies from a video, it's not quite enough for a payout, unfortunately.

I used to earn a lot more on my posts when I joined Steemit, and the amount decreased overtime. I am wondering if I did something to cause my post worth to decrease

I doubt it. The price of both Steem and the Steem Dollar has been going down drastically.

so the price of Steem and SD also determinds how much you get on your posts? Because there were post where I have pennies and I still got a pay out, so maybe it is due to the steem price being down. My upvotes were worth a penny and now they're not. I hope the Steem price goes back up soon
