Are post being missed because of a Language barrier?

DON'T Overlook anyone!.png

Hello Everyone!

In my last post I began talking about posts that were going unnoticed based on a language barrier.

I believe that this is a huge issue, I see steemit as a community that gives equal opportunity to everyone! Sex, religion, culture, these factors about individuals dont have have impact based on what people are wanting to share with the world on steemit! The biggest issue has to be the Language Barrier!

There is a guild known as @Curie that makes a huge impact on newcomers to steemit. However, one of their rules is that the posts that are being submitted must be in english. This is a huge downfall especially for a group of individuals that can make such and impact!

I do not want to assume that most people that are not speaking english here on steemit live in a third world country that doesnt have all the resources for their people to learn english! If a group like @curie were to upvote a good post by someone that is based in a third world country would be so impactful in their life!

Where my rant is going is based on why are these non english posts being looked over by so many people? These posts shouldn't be overlooked. There are so many resources that offer translations, for example, the chrome browser which I am going to assume is being used by a lot of people will give the option to translate the text into english no matter what the default language is!

With that said, why is this being overlooked? Why as a community can we not take action to better help those that need it?

I'm not saying just upvote all content that is in another language! A factor that I love about steemit is that I dont have to upvote someones content if it's not good! But what if the content is in another language and its actually good and not being voted on? That is opportunity that is being missed out!

What I want to Propose

I would like to propose that everyone take a few moments when they are on steemit if they come across a post that is not in English just take a look at! What is it going to hurt? We as a community should be will to help those in need especially if the person is willing to work for it! We as a community need to make sure that Steem stays NUMBER ONE!!!!!

Thank you everything for taking the time to read my rant!

Cheers,
Albert

Hello Friend ! I absolutely agree with you, you need to change the language barrier in another direction, you need to make more communities in different languages and help them develop, then STEEMIT will develop very quickly!
