It's never too late to start something

Have you ever asked yourself if you were too old to start something? Did you ever wish you achieved your greatest successes at a younger age?

A lot of us have. And a lot of us fall into that "late bloomer" category.

In some way, I was one of them. I took a crack at entrepreneurship at age 27.

Charlie Munger got into investing at age 31 under the tutelage of Warren Buffett and made a ton of money. Colonel Sanders was living off social security before making it big with Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Yes, there are people younger than your who are starting or have a business. But do not let that discourage you that it is a young person's thing.

It doesn't matter if you're in your 40s or 50s, if you're not happy with where you are in life, it's never too late change course.

You're not giving up your ultimate goal. Sometimes, you just need to change course so long as it gets you to the same destination.

My challenge to you is to name ONE thing that you want to start right now but wish you had in your younger years. Then map it out from point A to point B.

I look forward to hear from you in the comments.

Well, I can tell you one thing that I waited too long for:
Bullfighting.
Not being a matador - I could never kill anything - but a rodeo bullfighter. For some strange reason I'd wanted to do that since I was a kid. And I thought, being female, I would become a superstar!
But now, at 36 and with a bad knee, there's simply no way my body would be able to handle it.
I DO plan, however, on taking a bullfighting class where I can get in the ring and practice with real bulls, so there's that. :)

I'm not too broken up about it, though. I live a very adventurous life and have done things (and will continue to do things) I never ever dreamed I could!

My next adventure (hopefully) is cage diving with great white sharks. WOO!

Steem on rockstars!

Hell yes! Bullfighting! And swimming with sharks, too? Double hell yes!

It's good to know that you live an adventurous life. One adventure after another, you forget about the whole age thing.

I know we'll all live up to that statement when we're in our 80s...fighting bulls and swimming with sharks. We'll be the most badass octogenarians in the history of the world! Torro! :D

LOL as long as I can get bionic joint replacements - which, hey, with the tech we have now it wouldn't surprise me to have that stuff in 40 years.

Two goals I want to set for myself in the financial realm are to become educated about cryptocurrency investing/ trading, and to regularly create poetry and music on Steemit, with the end goal of being an entrepreneur in many areas.

I have always struggled with how I should go about securing financial stability because I used to have a very negative attitude towards money. Now for me, it is something fun and interesting to learn about, and a tool that can help me make a tangible difference in the world.

Thanks for posting , it helped me pause to reflect on a couple of my goals!

No problem, @d-pend! Always great to have people talk about their goals, their struggles, etc. I think we all know that this community is very supportive when we talk about stuff like this.

Looking forward to what you can accomplish here on Steemit! With that, consider me a new follower!

Right now my focus isn't on learning or starting something new, but re-learning something I've been taught to do wrong all my life (or simply never taught properly).

Diving into the art of deep focus, learning, memorization, analytical thinking and contemplation.

Building a stronger foundation for a long and prosperous life.

Nice! I think at one point, we've had that epiphany that everything we've spent years doing was done the wrong way the whole time. And that can really be a shock to the system.

You mentioned memorization, right? There's a guy by the name of Anthony Metvier (sp?) who knows his stuff about the topic on memory.

Looking forward to what you're going to achieve by re-learning!

Awesome post! My goal right now is to launch multiple side-hustles and get revenue streams poppin'. It's tough, while keeping my current clients, but if I want to be who I want to be, then I have to make it happen.

Followed you, keep up the good work! :)

Nice work, Blake! And I agree, it's a tough road. But if you want to get there, you're damn right you have to make it happen. Keep in mind, if you feel like there's something you're not happy with, change it up until satisfied. You'll be alright as long as it takes you to the intended destination.

And you sir have been followed as well! Let's keep on Steemin'!
