When we think about growth hacks, we think about going to 0 to 1,000 followers in a blink of an eye. And we assume that we’ll get all this engagement and popularity.
So you gain 1,000 followers through some loopholes or maybe buy them in bulk for an ungodly amount of money. So you post your content on a consistent basis.
And you hear crickets...fucking crickets! And then it happens…
“OMG...I like have 1,000 followers and no one is listening to meeeeeeee!”
OR
“I have enough followers to make a shitload of money and nobody’s buying!! WTF?!”
Time out, amigo! If you thought growth hacking is the key to success, you’re far from right.
In fact, some of us learned the hard way. Myself included.
If you want real growth, then yes...you can post your content consistently. But here’s the fun part...you build relationships!
You go out there and engage with other people who share the same interests as you do. You engage with people who ask you questions about the things you’re good at.
When you build enough rapport and trust, they become your real disciples. They wait with bated breath for your next piece of content.
You deserve a real authentic following. A following that replies back to you when you talk to (NOT at) them.
Yesterday, I spoke about how on a rising platform like Steemit can serve as your new launchpad to form YOUR own movement. It’s better to start now while you’re able to.
If you want to grow with more followers, keep writing great quality content that strikes a chord with people. I know this statement has been mentioned on here to the point of ad nauseum.
If you ever consider the idea of growth hacking, consider the following:
Imagine you’re in a cemetery. You’re standing in front of rows upon rows of headstones.

And you start talking to them. You talk for five minutes hoping no one else is near and stares at you like some kind of crazy person.
You talk in hopes to expect a response. But you don’t.
Don’t raise the “dead” so you can raise your popularity.
Just go out there and fucking engage. Be gratuitous when people give you value and give value when it is warranted.
And that my friends is what true growth is all about.

I don't know about this, I'm a pretty hot commodity in the cemetery scene right now.
