What IF to do in Steemit? - | ¡Tips

A couple of days ago I made a post pointing out the most common mistakes that new people make when they arrive at steemit.com. Now I bring you some tips that will help you grow in steemit and get the most out of it.

Commenting on other people's posts is perhaps one of the best things you can do in steemit, but beware! Do not mention anything irrelevant to the subject and do not overdo comments like "good post, I follow you". The comments in steemit have to be something that adds value to the post, example of things you can comment on:

  1. Relevant questions, genuine questions that you and other people may have regarding the publication.
Additional information related to the publication..

  2. Your opinion about the publication, you agree or disagree with the published, which is what you liked most about the publication.

  3. Refrain from conflicting comments, although in other social networks this type of comments can draw attention and increase your traffic, in steemit it will not bring you any benefit to give free rein to your emotions and enter into visceral debates.

  4. Constructive criticism: If a publication does not seem good to you, either because of its wording or another element, it is best not to vote and move away. Getting to criticize spelling errors, or "the ugly" of a photo will not give you popularity. If you really want to make a constructive criticism, find a way to do it without looking superb, although having a super inflated ego can work perfectly in other social networks, in steemit no!

Vote what you like most!

Do not vote for absolutely everything, try to keep your steem power up, although as a rookie your voting power is almost nil, that little bit makes a difference. About 20 votes a day are enough, do not abuse. And try to invest these votes in articles of people who are also starting and who have quality content. We know that quality can be something subjective, just try to quantify how much effort the person invested in making the post. Giving your vote to whales does not help much, it is better to reward users who try hard and are growing, like you!

Do not follow everyone!

Follow only the people you genuinely want to follow, those that generate content that you like and that is useful to you. Otherwise your Feed will be filled with junk and irrelevant publications for you. If you do not like sports, why follow someone who only makes sports publications? Also, as I mentioned in the previous post, the follow x follow does not work in steemit.
Participate in contests! This is one of the best ways to boost your steemit profile, read the bases of the competitions well and participate, it does not matter if you do not win, I guarantee that with just participating you will be earning a lot.
