Yes @dek I agree something must be changed to distribute the payments in a way that contributes to this system we are creating here. I see the potential of something so powerful here and it is a bit disappointing that it is kind of set up at the moment for already wealthy or popular people to suck up all the available power. I had an idea that they could change it to something like this.
For a vote to even register the article has to be opened at least. Then it only gets a small 2% percentage of the vote. If the reader stays on the article for at least 5 minutes it would get the full vote.
This would stop the voting without even reading the articles. What do you think? I see Steemit as a society run by the members. Maybe we should make it more like a society by collaborating on things more, forming committees or groups to work out ideas? I know it's just beginning but this is the time to make changes to ensure that it gets better. Are there groups already formed? Are there ways other than comments to converse with each other?
